Therapy services are provided by Abir Schmidt, LMSW, under supervision, in accordance with New York State regulations.

Therapy services are available only to individuals physically located in New York State at the time of service unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.

A therapeutic relationship is established only after completion of required intake paperwork, informed consent, and mutual agreement to begin services.

If offered, coaching services are not psychotherapy and are not a substitute for mental health treatment, diagnosis, or medical care. Coaching focuses on personal growth and development and does not involve the treatment of mental health conditions.

4. Telehealth

If participating in telehealth services, you acknowledge that:

Telehealth involves electronic communication.
There are potential risks to confidentiality despite reasonable security measures.
You are responsible for ensuring privacy on your end during sessions.

5. No Guarantees

Results from therapy or coaching vary by individual. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.

6. Payment and Fees

Fees for services are communicated prior to the start of services. Payment policies, cancellation policies, and information regarding your right to receive a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act are provided separately during the intake process.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logo, design elements, branding, downloads, written materials, and other content, is the intellectual property of becomin.me and Abir Schmidt, LMSW, unless otherwise stated.
